Making Your Way Through the Court Process
Understanding and making your way through the court process is not easy and can be quite frustrating, especially for those handling their own legal representation (pro se litigants).  There are extensive state and local court rules and everyone appearing before the municipal court is expected to follow them.  The Pro Se Litigant Information article may be helpful in clarifying some of the mysteries of representing yourself.  This document also provides phone numbers and web sites which may be useful to you.

JURY SCAM ALERT!!!
The Administrative Office of the Courts has received reports from King and Snohomish counties that residents have been called and threatened with arrest warrants for failing to appear for jury duty. The caller then demands payment of a fine. This will NEVER happen through Washington courts or law enforcement agencies. If you get a call like this, do not provide money or personal information and please contact your local police agency right away.
