Overview

Our focus of street maintenance activities is to provide a reliable transportation system ensuring that all modes of transportation can move around the city safely and efficiently. This department provides and maintains street lighting and contracts with the local electric utility for street lighting in areas of the city. Public Works also provides routine street maintenance including street sweeping, snowplowing, striping, potholes and repaving and right-of-way maintenance.
